Business systems

Not every system worth connecting has a name on a logo wall.

Some of the most useful data a conversation needs lives in a system nobody else uses — an order platform, an internal booking tool, a proprietary database. A custom API connection reads and writes to that system directly, through actions authenticated and scoped specifically to your implementation.

Named platforms are integration targets. FutureFace Tech is not a partner of, endorsed by, or affiliated with them.

Where Your own systems fits in the conversation.

  • Reading account, order or service status from a proprietary system mid-call
  • Writing a validated outcome back to your own system of record
  • Raising a ticket or task in an internal tool that has no off-the-shelf connector
  • Triggering a webhook into infrastructure you already run

How it works

Read, decide, write, trigger.

Reads

Before the agent speaks

  • Whatever your API exposes and your implementation authorises — an account balance, an order status, a service record

Decides

During the conversation

  • Reading account, order or service status from a proprietary system mid-call
  • Writing a validated outcome back to your own system of record
  • Raising a ticket or task in an internal tool that has no off-the-shelf connector
  • Triggering a webhook into infrastructure you already run

Writes

As the outcome happens

  • A structured, validated payload to the endpoint your team defines
  • An outcome record written back to your system of record

Triggers

The moment it ends

  • A webhook call into your existing infrastructure on a defined outcome
  • Any downstream process your own API already initiates when it receives that call

Security and access.

Every request is authenticated against credentials you issue and scoped to the specific endpoints your implementation defines. Nothing is read or written outside that agreed scope, and the scope itself is defined jointly with your engineering team before any build begins.

Questions about the Custom API integration

Why is this planned rather than available on project?

A custom API connection is, by definition, unique to your system — there is no standard object model to build against until your API is scoped, so it genuinely is not routine work yet in the way a HubSpot or Salesforce connection is.

Does this mean any system can eventually be connected?

In principle, yes, provided it exposes an authenticated API and your team is able to define the scope of what should be read and written.

Who defines what data is exposed?

You do. The endpoints, fields and actions available to the conversation are agreed with your team before anything is built, not opened up by default.

Is there a partnership with our software vendor implied?

Named platforms are integration targets. FutureFace Tech is not a partner of, endorsed by, or affiliated with them.
