AI Collections Agent

Routine payment reminders handled with respect. The hard ones handled by a person.

Noah manages the repetitive, low-conflict part of payment follow-up — confirming what is owed, sending a secure payment link, recording a promise to pay — and refuses to go further than that. Anything contested, or anything that suggests the person on the other end is struggling, goes straight to a human.

Chasing payment by phone is repetitive work that still needs a human touch for the hard cases.

Most overdue accounts just need a polite reminder and a link. But the same call script gets used on the genuinely difficult conversations too, because nobody has separated the two.

  • The same reminder call gets made manually, account after account, day after day
  • Skilled staff spend hours on accounts that only needed a nudge
  • The few conversations that need real care get the same rushed few minutes as everything else

What it does

Built for this job, not adapted from another one.

  • Identifies the customer

Confirms who it is speaking to before discussing any account detail.

  • Confirms permitted account context

Only within the boundaries your finance rules allow.

  • Explains outstanding status

Read directly from your finance system, not an estimate.

  • Captures reason and status

Why a payment has not been made, recorded accurately.

  • Sends a secure payment link

Immediately, so paying is one tap rather than a separate call.

  • Records a promise to pay

Date and amount, logged against the account.

  • Schedules a follow-up

A sensible next contact, not immediate repeated calling.

  • Escalates disputes and vulnerability

Any contested amount or sign that the person is struggling goes straight to a person.

  1. AI employeeGood afternoon, is that Mr Whitfield? I am calling about invoice eight two one one, which shows as overdue.
  2. CallerOh yes, sorry, that must have slipped through.
  3. AI employeeNo trouble. The amount outstanding is one hundred and forty pounds. Would you like me to send a secure link so you can settle it now?
  4. CallerYes please, that would be easier.
  5. AI employeeI will text that link to this number now. Is there anything about the invoice itself you wanted to check?
  6. CallerNo, it is correct, I just forgot about it.
  7. AI employeeUnderstood. I have recorded that you intend to pay today. If it is not settled by tomorrow we will follow up once more.

Questions about Noah

Does Noah pressure people to pay?

No. It states the outstanding position, offers a payment link, and records what the customer says. It does not negotiate settlements or apply pressure.

What happens if someone disputes the debt?

Any dispute is escalated to a person immediately. Noah is not designed to resolve contested amounts.

How does it handle someone in financial difficulty?

Any sign of hardship or vulnerability is treated as an escalation trigger. The call is handed to a person trained to handle it, not continued as a standard reminder.

Is every call logged?

Yes. A complete action log is kept for every contact, including what was said, what was agreed and what was escalated.
