Professional services
Qualify the enquiry before a partner picks up the phone.
A new enquiry arrives and, until someone senior spends time on the phone, nobody knows whether it is worth an hour of a partner’s time or a five-minute referral elsewhere. That first hour is expensive to spend on the wrong enquiry.
Enquiries need qualifying before anyone senior spends an hour on a call that may not be a fit at all.
The conversations this sector handles over and over
- Initial enquiry qualification — scope, timing and budget
- Booking a consultation with the relevant partner or associate
- Existing client administration questions
- Referral and conflict-check style enquiries
- General questions about services and fees structure

- AI employeeGood morning, Beaumont & Clarke. You are speaking to an automated assistant. How can I help?
- CallerI have a dispute with a supplier and I think I need a solicitor.
- AI employeeI can help arrange that. Can I ask roughly what the dispute involves, and whether any proceedings have already started?
- CallerIt is a breach of contract, around forty thousand pounds, nothing filed yet.
- AI employeeThank you. That sits with our commercial disputes team. I can offer a consultation with Ms Whitfield on Tuesday at two, or Wednesday at ten.
- CallerTuesday at two, please.
- AI employeeBooked for Tuesday at two with Ms Whitfield. I will send a confirmation and a short form for any documents you can bring.

Questions about Professional services
Can it do a full conflict check?
No. Conflict checking is always a person’s decision. The AI employee captures enough detail to route the enquiry, and the conflict check happens before any engagement is confirmed.
Will it quote fees over the phone?
Only what you have explicitly approved as a scripted answer, such as a general fee structure. Case-specific quotes are left to the person handling the matter.
Does this work for enquiries outside office hours?
Yes. Out-of-hours enquiries are qualified and booked the same way, so a Sunday-evening enquiry does not wait until Monday morning to be picked up.
